Nature and revelation alike testify LOVE OF GOD. Our Heavenly Father is the source of life, wisdom and joy. Behold the wonders and beauties of nature. Think of their marvelous adaptation to the needs and happiness, not only of man but of all living beings. The sun and rain, that gladden and refresh the earth, the mountains, seas and plains, all speak of the love of the Creator. It is God who supplies the daily needs of all its creatures. And the psalmist said in the beautiful words: ..
" All eyes look to you, and encouragement you give your time. open your hand. and satisfy the desire of every living being. " Psalm 145:15,16
God made man perfectly holy and happy, and did not have the beautiful earth, emerging from the Creator's hand, spot of decay or shadow to curse. The transgression of the law of God, the law of love was what brought pain and death. However, in the midst of suffering resulting from sin manifests God's love. It is written that God cursed the earth for man. Gen.3: 17 The thistles and thorns, difficulties and try to eat his life of toil and care, were appointed for his good as part of the training needful in God's plan to lift debris and degradation that sin had caused. The world, though fallen, is not all sorrow and misery. In nature there are messages of hope and consolation. There are flowers upon the thistles and thorns are covered with roses.
"God is Love" is written in every bud that opens, each stem of springing grass. The beautiful birds with their beautiful songs fill the air with melodies, delicately tinted flowers in their perfection as perfume, the high trees of the forest with their rich foliage of living green, all testify to the tender, fatherly care of our God yu wish to make their children happy.
The word of God reveals his character. The same declared His infinite love and mercy. When Moses said to God,
"Please let me see your glory."
Lord said.
"I will make all my goodness pass before you," Ex 33:18,19.
Such is his glory. The Lord passed before Moses and cry:
"Jehovah, Jehovah. God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love to the thousandth generation, forgiving iniquity. The transgression and sin." Ex 34:6,7
He is "slow to anger, abounding in love." Jon 4:2 "Because he delights in mercy" Micah 7:18
